Programming Details:

In these vehicles your VIN must be programmed to be synced with other components in the vehicle. For instance, if your VIN does not match, your radio will not function.

The mileage that is being programming to the unit must match whatever is shown on your instrument cluster.

If the mileage provided for the BCM is lower than the what reads on the cluster, the odometer will not move from its shown mileage until the BCM catches up with the cluster. Only then will it start adding miles to the odometer.

If the mileage provided for the BCM is higher than the instrument cluster, the cluster will immediately register the mileage on the BCM and work as normal.

Mileage Reset Option: This option is only needed if a higher mileage BCM was installed and the cluster is stuck showing a higher mileage that wasn’t originally on the vehicle. To fix this – we will require the cluster. We can reset the cluster to register whatever mileage is programmed on the BCM. If you need this option, please include a note during checkout stating you need the mileage reset option and send the cluster to

Technician’s Notes:

The Chevrolet Colorado was built to be the successor to the dependable Chevrolet S10 but unfortunately, they did have some issues with the body control module due to lack of moisture protection.

This unit may also be compatible with Chevrolet Colorado – GMC Canyon – Hummer H3 – Isuzu I-290 I-370.

Replacing the BCM with our rebuilt unit should also fix passlock issues.

The BCM is located behind the passenger side kick panel.
