Programming Details:
For compatibility, your VIN must be programmed to sync with your vehicle’s other systems.
We also ensure each unit has the latest OEM, VIN matched software from GM. This may be beneficial if your original unit software is out of date causing rough shifting, idle issues, or stalling.
The mileage and engine hours will not be affected after installing the replacement unit.
After Installation Notes:Â
The keys may need to be programmed or the vehicle will not start. Our step-by-step instructions make this an easy process that requires no additional tools.
In addition to key programming a crank shaft position sensor relearn may also be required. After a replacement ECU is installed in these vehicles it’s common for a service engine light (code P1336) to be present. The vehicle will operate as normal without issues but to clear the code, a repair shop that has the capability of doing a “crankshaft position relearn procedure” may be required.
