Programming Details:
Your VIN must be programmed to ensure compatibility with your vehicle’s systems.
We program each ECU with GM’s latest VIN-matched software, which can help address issues like rough idling, stalling, or shifting problems caused by outdated software.
Your vehicle’s mileage and engine hours will remain unchanged after installation.
After Installation Notes:Â
The keys may need to be programmed or the vehicle will not start. This key programming procedure can be done in the vehicle without tools using programming instructions we will provide with the unit.
In addition to key programming a crank shaft position sensor relearn may also be required. After a replacement ECU is installed in these vehicles it’s common for a service engine light (code P1336) to be present. The vehicle will operate as normal without issues but to clear the code, a repair shop that has the capability of doing a “crankshaft position relearn procedure” may be required.
