Technician’s notes:
GM instrument gauge clusters were plagued with issues starting from the Mid 2000’s, even effecting newer vehicles today. Display issues were amongst the most common problems these units faced.
Intermittent problems are very common. It’s not unusual for symptoms to appear one day and disappear the next.
