Our service only includes return shipping (you must pay to ship the unit to us, we do not include a shipping label)
Each unit will be fully repaired and thoroughly tested before being returned. Due to intermittent issues we do not test units before servicing, only after the repair.
If for any reason you need the unit tested before servicing, please state so in the order notes during checkout. We will email you with any issues we were able to find.
We do not require the entire overhead unit, you may send us just the compass unit removed from your overhead console.
You may still send the overhead console if you are uncomfortable removing the compass from the unit.
To send your unit in for service please follow these steps;
- Remove the overhead console from your Bronco. (Optional) Send display unit removed from the console for cheaper shipping and less damage risk.

- Include the same name used to place the order on or inside the package. That name is your receipt.

When we receive the unit, we will repair and ship it back within 24-48 hours. A tracking will be emailed to your inbox as soon as the repair has been completed.
Re-install and you’re ready to go, no programming or calibration needed.
Since all issues are repaired, we do not require notes or details about symptoms. We just need the unit and named used to place the order.
Technician’s notes:
As these compass / temperature units are becoming harder and harder to find we’ve had several requests to offer a service for this particular unit. Since age typically causes capacitor failure within this unit, the capacitors tend to leak causing corrosion that needs to be removed and repaired along with solder work to get the unit working again.
Intermittent problems are very common. It’s not unusual for symptoms to appear one day and disappear the next.
Since age is the main cause of failure having the board rebuilt makes for good preventive maintenance.
We do not require the overhead console, only the compass / temperature display unit itself. You may send just the display unit or the entire console if you wish. It’s up to you.
To remove the console, simply remove the one screw holding in the overhead console from the front. Gently pull the console downward to release the three spring trim clips and disconnect the electrical connector.
