This service will repair your dead odometer display, replace your backlights with factory style incandescent bulbs, restoring the OEM look the cluster had when new. Speedometer needle function repair is also included as it sometimes will stop working along with the odometer display.
Our repair service is a cheaper alternative to a replacement, saving you money and allowing you to keep your original parts and mileage. (Mileage correction is available)

Technician’s notes:
The Acura RL is a wonderful vehicle, dependable and luxurious but as with most things age does takes its toll.
A dead odometer display is becoming a common issue with these vehicles that requires more than just an odometer display replacement but an overhaul of the circuit board itself.
Sometimes when the odometer goes out the speedometer needle will stop functioning. We repair this as well.
The backlight bulbs on these are also an issue since the bulbs are always on paired with a tinted screen for a more defined look, they burn out. We replace all back-light bulbs with a higher wattage bulb for longevity and that factory look. We do not recommend LEDs.
Intermittent problems are very common. It’s not unusual for symptoms to appear one day and disappear the next.
This is service is offered with 1999-2003 Acura RLs. The pre 99 versions have a different circuit boards that have more catastrophic failure when the odometer goes out and we are not always able to repair them. You may send a 1996-1998 version to us for repair if you like but it’s possible that we may not be able to repair the unit.
